It is 8:45pm and I am sitting here at my computer wearing sweat pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, a fluffy bathrobe, socks and slippers over the socks! It is 59 degrees out and and it is CHILLY!!!

Oh yes, and when I get to bed, I have 4 blankets on my bed!!
I just love this cold weather!!!

I am with harrie on this one !! I live in Hawaii too.
I think our blood gets thin when we live here a long time. I must say that it has been pretty good sleeping weather lately.

harrie 01-29-2009 12:23 AM

I am a Woose....I admit it....

But I am not complaining! I really do like this "cold" weather!!

Pam P 01-29-2009 05:27 AM

Oh, Harrie, you don't know cold! We just got thru a stretch of
-20; that's 20 below zero. You know your a Minnesotan when 25 above zero sounds pretty good. All you people who live in Hawaii, & CA are much smarter than me!

harrie 01-29-2009 09:50 AM

I don't know about smarter........wimpier is prob more like it!!
LOL!

Believe51 02-04-2009 12:47 PM

I would LOVE to live in a place where I could wear scarves, jackets, BOOTS and NOT sweat or look ridiculous!!

Pam P 02-05-2009 04:50 AM

Maybe MN is for you, Harrie. Scarves, check, jackets, check, boots, check, and... mittens, check, long underwear, check. Not looking ridiculus? When it's below 0 no one cares! It's going to be 40 degrees today!!!!! so we'll shed a few layers.

Sheila 02-05-2009 06:02 AM

Yesterday it was below zero in Illinois, by tomorrow it will be in the high 40's...seriously, the kids will wear shorts....our 40 is your 80 after the winter we've had!

harrie 02-05-2009 04:43 PM

Sorry...I had a typo.....what I meant to say was.....I wish I could live in COLD, wear all that stuff and not look ridiculous! Meaning, if I were to wear all that good stuff over HERE where I live, people would look at me and think I am crazy!!
Does that make more sense?

Even though I live in Hawaii and feel like you do sometimes Maryanne I have to go with the mainland gals on this one.
We have it good over here in Hawaii !!
I grew up in the northeast where snow difts reached up to my second floor bedroom in winter. I also lived in northern Japan (snow country) with no central heating in winter. I had to convince myself to get undressed every night, so I could take a hot bath !! I slept with 7 or 8 quilts and blankets and wore so many layers I could hardly move when I went out. I wore a wool hat and several pairs of socks in bed.

Pam P 02-06-2009 05:31 AM

Harrie, I got it - I understood that you didn't actually want to live in cold, you just want to wear the fashion. That's fair. Can I come live with you from Nov - April??? You can borrow my hats & scarves! (; 0
