I did the CT Scan
 

I decided to do the CT scan before the holidays. They came back clean. Obviously, I'm very relieved.

Anyways, just posting to give some hope. Clean scans after 18 positive nodes and a local recurrence while on herceptin. My local recurrence was triple neg. but I can't help but think that I may still be receiving benefit from herceptin elsewhere in my body.

Right now we are there too. Mighty Oak needs the Gamma Knife and we decided to wait a few weeks to see what others may declare themselves in that time. Just so happens that my 'lil Sweetie will be Gamma-rized around Christmas and will be sick during the holidays. Whaaah.

I too am having an MRI on Wednesday of next week of my left side. There is some hardning like scar tissue under the skin. I had bilateral mastectomy in Jan 08. Since my onc is concerned, I too am worried. Praying for clear results myself.

Can you please share how your local reccurence was detected? Was it visible on the scar line or under the skin?

Its great news. I don't think I could have waited to get the scans either. Knowing is better than wondering. And knowing good news is the best thing of all!!

Thank God, now you can relax and enjoy the holidays. I'm due for my scans in January, I start getting really nervous the month before but I think I will just hold off and wait. Again, your kids are so adorable..sherryg683
