Hello from Bellydancer....

Hello all
Just wanted to send out positive thoughts to each and every one of you. With Our Thanksgiving just past and Your's coming up I wanted to wish everyone a Wonderful season. I will be in Fargo on your Thanksgiving.....giving thanks for the great deals....I hope to find.
I am at a weird place now as I don't know what to consider myself. I am finished Tx now, have stopped the Heart Meds and been released from the care of the Cardiologist. I just see my ONC every 3 months for my blood work. I guess I am a survivor now???? I pray that this was the only time I get to walk this journey. As I was told by my Cardio that I will Never be albe to take Epirubicin, Doxirubicin or Herceptin....EVER again. I had suffered Cardio damage due to the meds and therefore only got 4 doses of Herceptin. I have recently learned that it is as effective as the 14 doses or so they think. With being ER-/PR- HER2+++ I am still a bit nervous about recurrence. When does it get less worrisome? I guess everytime the blood comes back clear that is something to celebrate....right?
I saw my Plastic Surgeon to get the final looksee about the "headlight" adjustment and learned that here in Canada there isn't a time limit to have everything completed. I am now in the process of riding the "extra" me. I'm down 10 lbs so far and will look at each 10 lbs as a step closer to my surgery. I need to have the abdominal scar revised and was delighted to discover that they would be able to remove excess skin at the same time. My silver lining....a tighter bod and perky girls.
I was just wondering how other's at this stage of the game are doing? I am not back to work yet, kinda enjoying being at home for now. I fear returning to quickly and then burning out and not being able to get disability insurance again. One of the smartest decisions I've ever made was to buy private disability insurance. PLT!!!
Cheers!
