Hilum Lymph Nodes
 

Just wondering...My recent PET showed increased activity on the hilum lymph node and a vascular lymph node. I had 7 positive lymph nodes initially (axillary), then 5 nodes positive cervical region. They said I have a 4 mm nodule on my lung but it showed no activity on PET scan.

Has anyone had any of these. I am having a CT tomorrow and then a new course of treatment. I have been on Tykerb/Xeloda for 18 months now with good response, but then this rears its ugly head. Any advice?

Is it HILUM or HILAR...it seems to me that the Hilum refers to an area of the lymph node where circulation to the node occurs whereas the hilar lymph nodes (and Mediastinal) refer to lymph nodes in the chest....
