~Lily Flowers Update~October 7, 2008
I came home to a spledid message that I had to return pronto, our Lily Flower. First of all, I listened to it over and over because her accent is so damn cute.
Upon removal of almost a third of her liver and two weeks later: Tumor Markers went from 168 to 36!! Her voice was perky and so positve. She will be continuing her treatments but for right now she is getting back on her feet. Her goal is to stay nutritionally sound and strong for these continued treatments. She thanks us for our love and support and needs us to keep up the great work! Love To All>Believe51 |
Did she have resection and spheres?
|
Thanks for the Update
I'm glad she's doing so well -- she's such a cutie!

In answer to your question Rich, Lily had spheres first. Liver tumors were drained at one point but with limited results. These two tumors on the liver were the largest of her 5. Her decision was to stop the spheres for right now so she could have the resection done immediately to remove these 2 stubborn mets that are relentless (or were).
As you can see, her numbers dropped but she hs 3 remaining tumors that will kindly meet there demise with continued spheres. Upon completion of healing and staying at the top of her game, Lily will have Tykerb/Herceptin added to her agenda. Have been very busy after returning from our 2nd cancerversary cruise and sorry I have not been the best of support lately. Although lots of issues going on with Ed, I am still routing for your Mom and praying vigilantly for you both. It is easy for me to say this standing here but Mom is blessed to have such a wonderful son. It is extremely hard being a caregiver to these special people we love. Hang in there my friend and remember, we are all in this together. I am so happy we have found such a family. Love and Prayers>>Believe51 |
Oh WOW this is wonderful on her markers coming down so low.
Please let her know she remains in my prayers. Thank you Marie for posting. |
What wonderful news! Thank you, Marie, for the update.

Thanks, Marie!
Great news that her tumor load drop is so wonderfully reflected in the marker number. She will get stronger now. One thing that has puzzled me since I heard of why Lily has been absent concerns the draining of her liver tumors. I had never heard of that previously. Anyone else have to have this done. I would guess they would use a long needle for that with some kind of imaging to guide it?? Anyone know for sure?? My liver tumors were solid as far as I know although there was some swelling on the right side of my liver capsule. |
Thanks, Marie. I am so glad and relieved that Lily is doing well. She is such a sweetheart. Let her know we love her and are praying big prayers for her.
