Midwestern Regional Med Ctr

Is anyone out there familiar with Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Chicago?

Harrie
This is the "new name " of the Cancer Treatment Center of America, located about 40 miles north of Chicago in Zion, IL. I am not real fond of these places...have heard some horror stories that are NOT on the commercials. Why would one go to a little town of Zion when you have many great cancer centers right in Chicago? You have Rush Medical Center, The Cardinal Bernadine Center at Loyola, Northwestern, University of Chicago....
to me that would be like going to a beach in Wisconsin for a Hawaiian vacation!!!

Thanks for the response Sheila. I was talking to a woman here in the town I live in, their 20 yr old son has been told by his onco that there is nothing more he could do for him. So his mom found this site in the internet and the family took him up there for txs. There were very impressed and felt like they were given the state of the art cancer tx and they came back with hope and encouragement. He will be going back soon for his second round of txs.

I really don't know much about it...but I did notice they are participating in the new DM1 trial. So they are not "off the grid" in terms of all their treatments...

I know a couple of people who have said it is really good. Please keep us posted!

So what are the horror stories? Haven't been able to find much negative.
