Have any of you experienced this??

I don't know whether to be worried or not. . . for a few weeks now I have had something under my arm which burns when I apply deodorant. I don't know how to discribe them other than 3 welps which are flush to or under the skin. I can not feel anything unless I touch around the area, which is sore, but I can see three oblong circles. Have any of you ever had anything like this?

Anita,

It sounds like an allergic reaction of some sort. I don't wear regular deoderant anymore, as I have very sensitive skin, and didn't want anything to freak me out. Like you are experiencing now!

Try not to shave the area for a few days, and use cornstarch or nothing to see if that helps. If it doesn't go away in a few days with care, call your physician. Do you have a dermatologist? They could probably tell you more about it than your ONC. if it is a reaction of some sort.

From what I have read, it doesn't sound like anything to worry about. :)

Hang in there,

Sounds like allergies to me!

Sounds like an allergic reaction. Have you switched anything lately? And it could be you built up a resistance to something you used to use.

Hi Natch
It sounds like an allergy to me too, but you know the
drill ...... if it persists, get it checked out by a doc.

I would have a doctor take a look at if for no other reason, for peace of mind.

I agree with Rina. I'd call the onc and see if they want to see you or go to your PCP.

We will always have concerns after cancer, peace of mind is a good thing.

Keep us informed.
Donna
