scan results
I just thought I would fill you in on my latest PET scan. The mass that is smooshed between my intestines is still getting smaller. My tumor markers are still going down and I have to continue my Taxotere/Herceptin for another 3-4 months until I get another scan. I just had my 10th cycle of T/H every three weeks. It is starting to get to me. My eyes have been tearing constantly. What are the best eye drops to use? I've tried a couple but it doesn't seem to work. Overall I am tolerating this treatment pretty well. I was hoping I could get off the Taxotere. Maybe at the next scan. Thanks for being here and listening. Sally

Hi Sally
That's great news. I hope you continue to get a good response from this chemo combo. I don't know anything about the eye issues but I'm sure someone here can offer some advice. Good luck. |
Sally, That's great that the mass is shrinking. So it seems that the T/H combo is working for you. I'm praying that the next scan will be NED! And then you can come off Taxotere. Best, Joan

Sally,
I can see your delicate balancing act - wanting to be delighted at the continued good response AND wanting a break from the rigors of your chemo combo. But I see you are willing to do what it takes to continue this fight! I've had tearing eyes from T-DM1, I used eye drops called Refresh. They are expensive (because they come in individual vials that contain more than you can get to stay in your eyes, believe me I've tried) but have no preservatives and are very good. Hang in there my dear, and thanks for sharing your good news! |
