I wanted to let you know that when I called you a "knucklehead" it wasn't a three-stooges type of knucklehead, it was more like Lee said, "a term of endearment", and just letting you know that I would never call you, or anyone else for that matter, a three stooges type of knucklehead, but I would hold my arms wide open to embrace you and say, "come here, you little knucklehead, you had us worried..."

Bill, you knucklehead! It almost sounds like you're apologizing again...don't get started on that, you know it's a slippery slope.

Besides, Sheila is made of tougher stuff than to be phased by a little knucklehead comment. Did you see the biceps on her cartoon caricature???

Actually, it was all Lee's fault. I made the initial post to Sheila using my sweet-little-knucklehead-aren't-you-just-precious tone of voice. Eeeeeverything was just fine. Then Lee jumps up and publicly throws me under the bus. I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was something like, "Dear Sheila, Bill was so wrong in calling you a knucklehead. I would never do that. I hereby apologize for my brother Bill. " After Lee's post, I felt all guilty and had to walk sideways up to an apology.
