Sheila?

Has anyone heard any news from Sheila?

Jackie07 07-25-2008 08:37 AM

She posted on July 23 - according to the record I found by searching the Members List.

I talked to Sheila by phone a few days ago. She is having computer issues so I think that is why she has not been on lateley.

You all probably know the MRI came back fine. We are all so thankful for that.

I am sure she would appreciate continued prayers.

Thanks for letting us know Donna. I thought maybe she was mad at Bill for calling her a Knucklehead :)

Pink Girl

You would have thought that Bill would have sent me cupcakes.....
Other than by computer issues, I have been doing a photo shoot in my new "pink girl" wig.....will post when I get the proofs.

Hi Sheila
I'm happy to see you back posting. Those computer woes can be
very frustrating.

Anxious to see what a "pinkgirl wig" looks like. I have an idea......

Hope you're feeling better and the dizzy nonesense is over with.
That's a very cool avatar you have right now!!!

Margerie 07-29-2008 07:46 AM

Sheila,

I am sure Bill is working on your cupcakes....

And I hope your computeritis clears up soon!

Love your avatar.....Pink Girl, this is the hair style I have right now (minus the eyebrows)...so my pink girl hair will be quite a change!

Sheila,

Hope you don't mind my asking: how did you find the supraclavicular node mets?

Sheila 07-29-2008 09:10 AM

Jackie
I felt them in my neck, above the collarbone..first 1 lump, then 2....chemo blasts them, but they always return. I had them removed and they still came back, or new ones formed...I know Lolly always had the same problem...they are stubborn. The good thing is it is very obvious when they grow. The scary thing is, 2 surgeons missed them when checking me...i found them,.

Jackie07 07-29-2008 09:21 AM

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was hoping that there's some kind of test that will detect them before it is palpable. I guess those who have had skin mets probably found the cancer by themselves the same way. I hope someone will invent a more sensitive PET
machine soon.

Just realized your beautiful 'crane?' was made out of a hand. When I first saw it, I thought it was a real one in the picture. How neat!

Dear Sheila -
Going pink - so, I guess the "dizzy blonde" role was not for you!?!

Is the Flamingo hand yours??

One of my more humorous friends got one of those red-auburn wigs for me that was sort of like a longish bob style with bangs.

The day I got it we had a big dinner at a restaurant planned with a bunch of friends. Of course I wore it. My hubby walked in with an arm full of champage and said "hi" to all but me! Everyone was waiting for him to recognize me, and finally someone asked him if he had met the lady with the red hair. I gave hubby a sarcastic smile and shy wave. Not till then did he realize it was me - just thought I was late stuck in the same traffic he had been in.

Have fun with your new DO.

Jackie07 07-30-2008 04:51 PM

Well, I was blind (now I see). I guess the "one thousand crane..." idea for someone who's ill influenced my perception.

Same question: is that your own hand?
