Wishing you the best!!

Take it easy and get plenty of rest. I found that the best place to sleep after my reconstruction was on the couch or in a recliner.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Thank you so much for all the well wishes!! This is a bit of a harder recovery than I had expected, but I am feeling stronger each day.

I have 5 drains right now and am really hopeful to have them gone Wed. at my next follow-up appt. The recon areas are really tight feeling. I am taking an antibiotic as well as a rx pain med. They make me feel a bit queasy so I am not quite able to focus on much of anything right now. I wanted to check in on everyone as was happily surprised to see your kind posts. They mean a lot.

Hugs,
Lexi

Lexi, I know how you feel -- I had five drains too. It's tough at first but each day you'll feel better. Soon you'll feel like yourself. Best wishes, Joan

Thank you again for your prayers and well wishes. I am feeling better today.

I had three of the five drains removed and it feels so good! I am not taking the pain medicine which is helping me feel normal again. I think the worst part for me is the anesthesia. It sure seems to take a while to get out of my system. Yuck!

Lexi, you are such a sweetheart! I'm sorry I'm late climbing aboard the well-wishers train, but I'm praying for a speedy recovery for you. It sounds like you are doing great! Love ya, Bill

Gerri 07-30-2008 08:24 PM

Great news Lexi, hope you continue to feel better with each passing day. Take good care of yourself and don't overdo.

harrie 07-30-2008 10:10 PM

Great to hear from you Lexi! Sounds like you are improving dramatically!
Good to hear those drains are coming out so quickly. I totally agree, it was the strangest thing coming out of the anesthesia after being under so long! Like you whole body needs to remember how to function again!! But luckily it does learn quickly.
Take care.
Sending lots of good wishes your way,
Maryanne
