New ? re Vagifem
For the ladies that on the threads on this subject are still on vagifem can you tell me if it has helped at all and if your estrogen levels have risen. How long have you been on it?
I am er- and was placed on it due to vaginal atrophy. Sex? can't remember that too well! The onc and the ob/gyn assure me that it will not transmit and since I'm er-, there's little to suspect to have a problem But I wanted to know if you can stay on it for a while and them come off once the vagina heals? I hate putting anything inside that by even the most remote chance could cause me a roblem. Thank you all Maria |
I have the same problem. When my Gyn suggested Vagifem she wanted me to make sure it was ok with my onc. My onc didn't see a problem with it although she did request that I use half the recommended dose. It works very well but I had to stop due to the cost as it is not covered by my insurance and I am still in the process of paying my medical bills off.

If you search under atrophy and similar terms there are quite a few threads that may be of interest.

Thank you for the answers or at least more threads to read. there really is no definitive answer to this, except your own comfort range to the use of this. i have continued to use the vagifem, now only twice a week at .25mg a dose.
i really don't feel any difference. replens really keeps me more smoothhhy! now if i could only do something about libido- I'll write the book lots of love and thanks maria |
