Scan Question
 

Next week I am having an MRI and PET Scan.

I am having the MRI first. Now my question is this, is the contrast they will inject me with, be a problem when I have PET Scan with the stuff they inject me with??

I am assuming it won't, since it was scheduled that way.
I guess I'm just wondering.

Hi Vicki-
I had a Pet (one contrast) along with a CT (another contrast) today. I think they mix um' up all the time. It never hurts to double check with your doc since they can also make mistakes and it's easy enough to call and find out.

I agree, check with you doc first, but I think it is OK. Never hurts to be extra safe tho. They did give you specific instructions for your pre PET diet, right?

Yes, I did get instructions about Pre PET Diet. I was also told to drink lot's of water. HMMM I guess they don't realize how MUCH I WILL HAVE TO BE PEEING. LOL
