We're Melting.............
Oh I just had to share.......................all our snow is finally melting. I just got home from a 3 mile walk, in the sunshine and the temperature is 50. It feels like 80 after the winter we've had. I live in Wisconsin and this has truly been one of the worst winters I can remember.
So being outside today was simply glorious. I walked - prayed for you all and just thanked my God for all He has blessed us with. Just wanting to spread the sunshine around....http://www.her2support.org/vbulletin...cons/icon7.gif Mary Jo |
Here I was hoping it was tumors that were melting! :)
We are neighbors I live in Minnesota and the weather is finally turning nice here too. Spring fever! |
Holy Hannah, Mary jo! 3 miles? Where oh where do you get your energy? Glad to hear that you got out though. Our snow is finally melting from our nasty weather last weekend. We got about 15 inches! I'm anxious for spring this year more than ever. I promised myself that I would start walking when the weather lets me. I know I can sure use the exercise. I don't know about 3 miles though! You go girl.
Big hugs |
Me too, me too....
I could not muster enough energy for a jog this morning but I did enjoy a walk. I am glad too because I got to watch the ice and snow drip off some pretty wonderful areas of tree and rock. The small things in life...huh? Sending Love and Prayers To My Defrosting friend>>Believe51

Good for you Mary Jo - Here in Toronto the snow is still piled up, and it has been very cold. Warmer today though, not warm enough to walk outside for too long.
I did 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday. I am still on Herceptin, so I find I still get very fatigued easily some days. I am looking forward to May when I have my final Herceptin infusion, hopefull I will regain some stamina so I can walk longer. Have a great weekend. all the best caya |
Caya,
Good for you....2 miles on the treadmill is awesome. I hate treadmills but had to resign myself to one most of our long winter. We have plenty of snow piled up yet also, but today it was 54 whoppin' degrees WITH SUNSHINE. Oh, life doesn't get much better after a long winter. Love to you caya.........keep walking.........it lifts the spirit. Mary Jo |
I talked to my mother-in-law a couple days ago and she was talking about bare patches in her yard in Wisc. Today the sky is blue and it's warmer, but snow is still at least a foot deep everywhere here in my Toronto yard. Actually it is 4 feet deep in my little front yard (lots of shoveling onto it).
One of my neighbors went cross country sking last weekend. I think I have to bring my skis from Wisc. to Toronto. I will leave the snowshoes there. |
Come to Texas! The 'High'was 90 last couple of days, and now it's between 50 and 80. Better believe Al Gore - Global warming is the truth.
|
Yup! it was 90s on Friday and high 80s Saturday! Just a blip, but a nice blip...
tomorrow rain rain rain and cooler... back to our 70s/45-50s. Hey Jackie, where you at in central Tejas? |
I live pretty close to Fort Hood. How about you?
|
south of Austin...
|
My Father-in-law is from Manor. My husband went to SW Texas State for his Freshman year. And we went to Austin (Aquarena Spring) for our honeymoon.
|
I go to Manor all the time. We are between Austin and San Marcos. Maybe I'll run into ya sometime! Meet in Georgetown for coffee! Or Walburg, or Salado!
|
More rain expected here the next couple days. Thunderstorms tomorrow! Spring in Indiana, what fun! Hopefully no tornadoes any time soon. I don't think there is any grass in my yard anymore, it just all looks like mud.
