I think this is fabulous news! Changing the role of T cells to boost the immune system for those whose bc is resistant to Herceptin! HOPEFUL -- you are full of hope! Great article. IMMUNOTHERAPY sounds groundbreaking. Much like monoclonal antibodies that specifically target defective genes. Thank you, Sister.

Wow - I work with a guy who had a deadly case of melanoma and he became part of a study - If I remember right it was at Baylor - and it saved his life. I believe this is the treatment he had.

May this treatment work and become available quickly!

I have been interested in immunotherapy for some time. There was a lot of work done on it for bc in the 80's, which was abandoned when the leading proponent of it retired. I think it is something that deserves to be pursued, and I am gratified when I see an article like the one I posted here. Of course, I am particularly thrilled that the work is being done in Her2+ patients. :)
