Regional recurrence
 

I had a biopsy from my skin in my arm pit last week and it came back positive. I have been on herceptin/taxotere and herceptin/navelbine.I have been on herceptin alone since then. Are there any other combinations that are supposed to be synergistic with herceptin? Did anyone progress under the arm after lymph nodes were removed? The surgeon is saying that it is not necessarily skin mets but clogged lymph vessels similar to my ibc presentation. I will have scans this week. I'm praying that it is only regional.

I had the same thing on my breast just last month. I am on Navelbine and herceptin right now to shrink it down. A rash appeared because of clogged lymph vessels. I will then have a mastectomy with a skin graft.

Just to let you know, my scans came back clear. I'm believing yours will also. I know it is very scary to go through it again. I will be praying for you.

I forgot to mention. I have heard that Xeloda and Tykerb work well for this type of issue. It is hard to stay since everybody is different but I just wanted to put that out there.
