trying to upoad a picture

does anyone know how to make a picture from my albums smaller to fit onto my avator? It just keeps saying unable to download?

I went into my photo program and resized the picture and I also reduced the number of pixels (lesser quality), then I resaved it. I checked the file on windows explorer to see what size the file was. I kept repeating this process until the file size was small enough.

Hope this helps.

There is a great free program which you can download called Irfanview - it makes resizing pictures a snap.

Just go to Image / resize - and you can set it in inches, cm or pixels. This program also does other neat stuff such as photo cropping and 3D effects.

My avatar is not stored on this board - my avatar is 70px by 70 px - you can see how big a person's avatar is by putting your mouse on it and right clicking your mouse - than select properties.

Another option you could try is to upload it to a free service - such as

http://www.tinypic.com/

That website will tell you the place where it is stored and you can use that to point to your avatar.
