Just got back from MRI
Just walked in and fixed myself a cup of coffee. I had a brain MRI done today. I've been having headaches and a problem with my vision doing strange things at the most inappropriate times (like when I'm driving). Went to my PCP yesterday, he ordered the brain MRI for this morning, CTscan on my chest for tomorrow morning (been having shortness of breath and weakness in upper body)and ordered an Echo on my heart for February 1. I told my onc about all these things happening to me and he kind of just blew me off but when I saw my primary doc, he was very concerned. Anyway, I got thru the MRI pretty well, just came away with a headache. I'll call my doc tomorrow afternoon to get results. He's hoping that maybe it's ocular migraines but he wants to be certain that there's nothing else going on. I love my primary doc, he is so thorough. So tomorrow is the CT scan of my chest, wants to make sure I didn't "throw a clot" (his words), sure sounds scary to me.
Please keep me in your prayers and I'll post when I know something. Hugs |
Hey....
I'll be keeping you in these prayers of mine. I pray your Brain MRI comes out as well as Mighty Oak's miracle did=clear. Keep us posted but in the meantime know I am sending all my love, prayers and positive energy right to you. Hopefully it has something to do with the dry weather, I get migraines and usually fair well in the winter. Not this year, last week I almost got hospitalized for them and that has not happened since 1995, different situation I know but none the less. Smile...someone loves you!!>>Believe51

I'll keep you in my prayers and hope that your symptoms turn out to be nothing serious. I'm glad you're getting everything checked out.

Hi Susan,
I'm happy your PCP is thorough and has ordered the tests that will answer your questions. Prayers said for all to be "normal." (whatever the heck normal is anymore http://www.her2support.org/vbulletin...cons/icon7.gif) Geez, I don't think I was "normal" before breast cancer.........NOW.........well..............oh Heaven help me. http://www.her2support.org/vbulletin...ons/icon12.gif May God's Peace hold you close while you wait................... Hi Susan.
We havn't had the chance to speak before but you certainly are in my prayers and I hope that everything comes out ok! :) Doug |
Susan, I love your PCP too! We can't be too careful where our health is concerned, shame on you onc for blowing you off, but your PCP deserves a big hug! Hope everything comes back normal. Sometimes the contrast injections give me a headache and I feel kind of blah for a couple of days, so drink lots of water.

Susan, I hope at the end of all these tests you'll get some good answers and give you some relief from the worry and stress that you have. I'm so grateful that your doc. jumped into action quickly to have you tested and to "take care of you" the right way! Lots of love, ma

Hi Susan! I'm so glad you have a great PCP. I'll be praying for good results from your tests, and also for a calmness and sense of peace to surround you as you await the results. Sometimes the waiting can be the hardest part. "Be Still, and know that I am God" Love to you, Bill

Susan,
Sounds like you have a great PCP. I can't understand why your onc just dismissed your concerns. Praying all turns out "normal." |
Here's hoping they figure out what is causing your problems and it is easy to fix. I especially hope for a nice clear MRI......thank goodness your personal physcian is so wonderful. Good Luck!

Hoping all is perfect with your MRI and your chest CT...I experienced a little shortness of breath 2 weeks ago after my treatment...I felt like I had fluid overload, but no edema, my B/P is much improved since going off Avastin...I had an echo and is showed 60%, so thats good for 4 1/2 years of Herceptin....I had a treatment yesterday so I am anxious to see what today brings. Hoping all your symptoms turn out to be minor things.....you are in my thoughts and prayers for good news/ |
