Great News For All
I just found out that there is a way to exclude our message boards from Google's search engines. I have emailed our IT expert and should have an answer by tomorrow.
Regards Joe |
I like the sound of that!

Great!!
Now when I get naked I do not have to worry about strangers lurking on the web taking a glance!! LOL. Sending love and chuckles>>Believe51

Thanks Joe! That's been a worry.

If that was the case, I would put my profile up again.

That is great news Joe - thank you!
I'm only a new member here Joe but I was wondering is it possible to make the discussion boards only able to be read by people who are actually members? So not just anyone can read the posts? - only people who have actually joined the group and have a reason for being here? Don't know if that is really possible - just asking. Thanks so much Joe for everything you and other folks do to keep this group happening - if I am going to have this illness I am so grateful to have this place to come to. Blessings Hermiracles |
good news indeed!
Good work Joe! Thanks thanks thanks - for everything!

I am a member of a private breast cancer forum in the UK and our posts are just that, private, so I think this would be possible.

Thank you.

Dear Hermiracles,
Sometimes I tell my friends to look at a particular inspiring or fun thread. I would hate for them not to be able to share in my joy and fun because they couldn't come in. I would not have joined the site if I had to join before I could see what it was about. Love & hugs, Marlys |
Hi Marlys - true! I thought about that after I made the post!
I'm in exactly the same situation - I have given the web address to a dear friend - who organised a 2nd opinion for me - so she can read and learn from the wonderful folks who contribute here. Also I read quite a bit before I actually joined. I guess the point Joe is making is that if the group doesnt come up on a google search then you wouldn't have any folks just reading like voyeurism (?sp) I did see a website once that had pictures of young women movie stars with (made up) pictures of their breasts with breast cancer! - sick eh? Sorry - its probably just my paranoia kicking in. I'll leave the decision up to my more experienced, wiser members of this wonderful group. Thanks for the reality check. Blessings Hermiracles |
Joe, That's fantastic...I'm glad to hear this can be done. Thanks for looking into this for us. It's much appreciated.
