Update - Website Problems

Our provider has promised that we will be back in full operation by Thursday, but we may experience sporatic problems between now and then.

Thank you all for your patience.

Regards
Joe

Joe, Thanks for staying on top of this and taking care of the problem so quickly. I think we can all handle a few sporatic problems. For me its already better...I was having a hard time getting to the her2 board...but now its no problem at all. Thanks again for all your time and trouble to keep us up and running. Its so appreciated.

Thanks Joe and Christine.....

You are an amazing person and what you provide us with goes far beyond the call of duty. This site seems to be my lifeline through cancer and has helped me more than any counselling has through the last 15 months. When I cannot get on to the site I panic, I shouldn't but I do. With all of the work you both do to provide this service to us all, it is easy to forget that you have a life after Her2support. The time and love you gather to provide this support is exceptional. I am an Her2support addict and like AndiBB, I have decided to turn down help!! LOL! Thanks for your unprecedented devotion to us all. I remember the first time the site was hyjacked, my heart sunk, I panicked into a frenzy. Oh, I thought: I have the phone number so I can call to leave a message that something was foul. Expecting an answering machine and calling from the east coast, I was taken aback when Christine answered, she had no idea of what was happening. How would she? It WAS 5 a.m. California time. That was when I knew that this devotion to the site was as great as the need for me to be here. I apologized for interuption in her sleep and embarrassed I wished her well and waited for the problem to get fixed. Maintaining the site IS a full time job in itself and balancing that and life....well that has to be a challenge. A challenge that you have beat. Thanks again for the love and support both of you provide, your efforts are well appreciated here in 'Lil Rhody as well as the ENTIRE WORLD!!! Indebited to this site>>Believe51

Joanne, The one thing I think I might be able to help you with is adding a avatar. I believe you go up and click on "User CP". Once there look to the left of the board and choose "Edit Avatar". The CHOOSE "use custom avatar". Then it lets you upload any image you want off your computer. However it does have to be the correct size. It tells you what size I believe. Hope that helps and if I'm wrong maybe someone can chime in here. :)

Chelee,

You did it aqgain! Avatar---Hum? I hadn't a clue. It took me quite a while---I kept making the picture smaller and smaller (saved as jpg in Adobe Photoshop) to get it down to the acceptable size. After all that, the quality of the picture was not too good. I tried to load it again, but the message said it was not successfull. I was disappointed, but to my surprise my picture showed up anyways. Evidently I don't quite understand all this.

Chelee, Thanks for your help.
J:)

If anyone else can offer some hints, I would appreciate it.
