Good news and not so good news..

My good news is that my brain MRI came back clear of any tumors, no mets.
Bad news is that there are several white spots in the white matter. Non-specific, because they have no previous neurological deficits reported.
Could be a few different things. Probable small vessel disease.
I have been having some odd things happening, and have had some balance problems, memory problems, and headaches. Things that I had attributed to chemo and herceptin.
It's something I'll have to follow up on with my doctor.

Hi Brenda,

I'm thankful that there are no mets. For now, let's just concentrate on the good news. Yes, unfortunately, follow up is something that plaques us all now AND it is never fun. For now, let's just concentrate on today and consider you NED.

Thanking God for you and your good news.http://www.her2support.org/vbulletin...cons/icon7.gif

Brenda,

My MRI in June also showed small vessel disease, and I was a bit concerned. However, my cardiologist and oncologist suggested that this is fairly normal as one ages. Another member on the board also informed me that she had the same and it was not something to cause undue concern. I have high blood pressure and have had it for some twenty years. Both doctors believe it is the resullt of my high blood pressure, perhaps before it was diagnosed. Balance problems and other issues that sent me for the MRI resolved themselves eventually, and my own feeling is that they were due to herceptin, or perhaps to stress.

Good luck.

Brenda,

Please concentrate on the good news now. And having no brain mets is great! You are in my prayers.
