Let us say our sincerest thanks for all we have and let us give...

Many blessings exist within even the greatest of hardships. If we see through the eyes of our Spriit.

Happy Thanksgiving

Rinaina:
It is good to see you post. I haven't seen too many from you lately. Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone on this wonderful board. Side note- I see that you live in Chicago. I recently got to visit your great city, though not under the best of circumstances. I ran in the infamous Chicago marathon in Oct, 88 degrees! (they were out of water, gatorade at many of the aid stations), though the city is beautiful, the marathon certainly wasn't the greatest of experiences, because of the water debacle. I did get to try the deep dish pizza at Gino's East. That helped!

So sorry about the marathon Leslie. I knew people who ran in it as well and it really was a horrible situation to say the least. You are right though about Chicago being a great city and glad you got to taste the infamous deep dish pizza from Gino's.
I haven't posted much lately but I do lurke as often as i can. I don't think I will ever disconnect from the forum but life does get in the way. At this time of year with Thanksgiving upon us, I must express my thanks for all our her2 sisters and for Joe and Christine for always making her2 a priority. May all have a warm, healthy Thanksgiving filled with much love.

Thanksgiving....Popcorn & a Movie!!!

When people asked me what I was having for Thanksgiving, I told them popcorn and a movie!!!! It was terrific! My husband and I took our 3 grandkids (ages 8, 6, 4 - we're raising the 8 year old and she had a ball) to see Enchanted. There we sat with blankets, kids baskets of popcorn, drink & candy, and the biggest smiles ever! It was wonderful. The kids don't get to see each other very often (they all live with different parents - long story) and just love their time together.
Last night was wild, but I just ate it up! Our meals were wild, but the kids did not care nor did we! I fixed bacon (I know) and pancakes for breakfast and we all enjoyed it! Oh, yes, we also didn't have any heat in our house. He's here working on it now. We just bundled up last night and this morning we got little Blake up to warm us all up....he's got energy for 3 and keeps us all running! I so celebrate this "healthy" time with them. They and you guys are my bestest medicine! Hope your days were great and your futures are blessed. ma
