Looking for an amazing Onc - Detroit area
 

A very dear friend of mine (only 28 years old, not Her2) is on recurrence (pelvic bones and nodes) after 16 months. I think she is a pretty straightforward ER+, PR+. Don't know much else about her DX. She is really scared. They have her on Taxol/Avastin, currently, but she is worried that it may not work for her since she has heard the research about Taxol only truly being effective for Her2...

She and her new hubby are moving home to the Detroit area in December to be near her family. She has an onc already set up to transfer her current treatment and care to, but she is planning to look for the best possible Onc in the Detroit area once she gets moved. She wants 2nd and 3rd opinions, before Christmas if possible.

Anyone got good names?? She talked to an Onc at U of Mich, but he seems really conservative and not very creative or cutting edge.

I live in the area as well. I go to Dr. O. Signori in Dearborn Mi-he works out of Oakwood Hospital which follows the Univ of Mich cancer center. Karmanos is very good, too. Ceesun

The Detroit Metropolian area is pretty big so it'll probably depend on which area she ends up moving to. I live on the east side, in Macomb Township, Michigan; it's about 35 miles from downtown Detroit. Following are my recommendations with links shown in pink:
