Turmeric/curcumin..ok but don't forget black pepper
Turmeric absorbtion is greatly enhanced (up to 2000 x apparently) when taken at the same time as pepper.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/en...t_uids=9619120 the effectiveness of oral supplementation with curcumin has been limited by poor absorption into the bloodstream through the digestive tract. In the past, a few formulators worked around this problem by adding a derivative of black pepper, piperine, which enhanced the absorption of ingredients such as curcumin: http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2007/...urcumin_01.htm anti-cancer saisonning for salad: -olive oil -turmeric -black pepper -garlic |

All I am saying is to continue taking curcumin but with black pepper (in the same Meal). Rhonda your link sent me somewhere else that what I think you had anticipated.
Anything from the peperine family will do I beleive. I read about black pepper so I personally stick to that. . Curry always contains some black peppers. Cayenne pepper I think would work. |
