more prayers

A friend of mine (she's a great person, brought meals and groceries for meals while I was doing chemo with my first onc, and known her for about 15 years) has an 18 yr old daughter who was in a serious car accident on Friday evening. It took them about 45 minutes to cut her out of her car. Then she had to be intubated at the scene and then lifelined to the hospital. They had to wait to do surgery because of brain swelling. But then she had a rod put in her leg, and a stell plate in her arm that the broken bones broke through the skin. Risk of infection now where they had to cut off the torn skin. She still hadn't woken up this morning. Please say a prayer for Jordan, she's got a lot of life yet to live.

She still hasn't woken up, but I'm not sure how bad that is. I saw some pix of her car and I am amazed she's alive. There's not alot left of the car.

Jordan is in my prayers as well as her family....sometimes a coma is a bodiy's way of healing after severe trauma.

Juanita, I agree with Shelia. Sometimes a coma is the best way to keep the body still while it heals. I will keep Jordan in my prayers. Keep her Mom company, now is a time to repay her for all her friendship.

Jordan woke up today and is able to wiggle her fingers and toes. Thank God for that! Thye removed the respirator and brain scan attachments. She faces more surgeries, therapy and still a great risk of infection from the open wounds. I am so grateful for all of your prayers.

Juanita,

Thanks for the update on Jordan. I'm still sending prayers her way.
