What a terrible story--the poor woman was out walking her dog to have him blessed at church. She's already survived bc, I hope she can survive this brutal attack.

How incredibly terrible...I will keep Ms Barron in my thoughts and prayers.
Unfortunately I know what it is like to be stabbed. I was attacked in March 1990 (just days after my Moms BC diagnosis) and was the victim of attemted kidnapping. Fortunately for me I have 5 years martial arts training and only sustained one wound. It affected my life for many many years.
Hopefully like myself Ms Barron is like a cat with 9 lives! The guy needs to be locked up and the key thrown away...

I got the New York Daily News and the update on her condition says she is going to survive. SHe is in serious condition, downgraded from critical.

How horrendous for you! I'm glad you're doing okay now and got through it...you can sure empathize with Ms. Barron. I hope Ms. Barron senses all the goodwill and prayers for her. It's so tragic.
