Husband's One Year Cancerversary Poem

A poem by Believe51 to her husband's triump of one year since diagnosis

In Sickness & In Health

Thank you for the fight thus far on a journey that forever changed our life.
To have & to hold, in sickness & in health, so honored to be your wife.

I am proud of you My Mighty Oak, My Knight, My Lover, My Friend.
Remember this is a different path but no way near our end.

Day by day with baby steps and now look at where we are.
Imagine where we shall be next year if we have made it this far.

I can see my world wrapped in a blanket when I look into your eyes.
And I know I sound desperate as I plead, but I know God hears my cries.

Let me come with you my hero, lead me out to dance with NED.
In a garden of jasmine & honeysuckle is what I have always said.

So take the time to reflect upon all the gifts we did recieve.
And remember that the best one I can offer is that I still Believe!!

Dancing With Ned...

Loved your poem, Marie. Love you. And your Spirit. And your Mighty Oak. Happy Cancerversary. Wishing you many decades more, soon to be dancing w/NED... You have inspired me in a hundred ways. I think I'll call my book that is on ongoing saga, a work of passion and it feels like 100 yrs -- DANCING WITH NED. Would that be plagerism? It has come to exemplify my life. Getting there is chock full of Life Lessons I am hoping to share, for any one facing any adversity. And who isn't? Everyone you meet if fighting their own battle. So, let's all be extra kind to pp...

LOVE YOU MARIE AND ED, ANDI :)
