I Was Wondering If Some One Could Give Me Information On The Healing Of Bone Mets Mets . My Onc Says It Really Is Hard To See Improvement And It Does Take Some Time For Bones To Heal. My Ct Scan Does Show Some Areas Of High Density Which I Think Is Good. I Know He Will Do Another Bone Scan In December. I Had One In June And It Did Show Some Improvement. Thankd Dorinda

I'm sorry I can't offer you any information on bone mets but it sounds to me like your scans are getting better with each one which to me is a good sign. Hang in there, you'll soon be NED!

My oncologist is only doing bone scans once a year now because it takes so long for them to show any healing. The one I just had in June showed "improvement from a year ago with no new spots"...which we were happy to hear. Meanwhile, the Zometa continues and I believe it is helping to keep the bones "stable".
