Belinda From Australia, are you out there?
Belinda:
I just read your post back in January and wondered if you are still looking at this board. We were diagnosed around the same time and I just wondered about how you are doing. Cheryl |
Hi Cheryl!
Yep - still here - And...I FINISHED TAXOL YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAYYYYY! Had bubbles (lemonade! LOL) and got floweres from DD and DH last night - still trying to accept it is all over. I think if my hair all just sprang back I would feel like it really was over - but I still see sick me every time I look in the mirror so I guess it will take a while. Still on Herceptin for 9 months (I am grateful for that) - first triple dose next week. Then start rads - 25 of them - on 27 August.
Cheryl - how are you going? Are you travelling well? I see you finished taxol a couple of weeks back - good for you. Any hair yet? Belindaxxx |
Hi Belinda
Yes, in fact I just got back from the Mountains with my family. We even went white water rafting! That was fun.
I started rads last Mon. (I get 33 of them) My feet and hands sometimes get tingly and my hair is growing back! Not the right color though, I will have to change that when it comes in fully enough to be colored. I am so excited for you to be done with Taxol! Yippee, Yahoo! I want to share with you that I got emotional a few times in the last few weeks at radiation of all things. I don't know if I was holding it all in during chemo just to get through it or what, but I found myself crying on the table and that surprised me. Just a heads up on that, of course that may not be an issue for you. Anyway, I noticed your diagnosis, size of tumors, nodes etc. and could relate. I take Herceptin myself until next May. The hair will come in soon! When it starts, is starts growing pretty fast. Talk to you soon. Cheryl |
