a litle weird and freaky
Hi guys, any input would be great on this. I have been, like many, in and out of menopause many times between chemopause and zolodex. I have not had a perios in a couple of years. Til yesterday! I am on xeloda and tykerb and just restarted xeloda after the week off. I am supposedly er/pr+, but had failed the last hormonal treatment which was Megace (tremendous progression last summer). So my onc wonders if I'm not resistant to the hormonals although if we get things seriously controlled we would like to try faslodex. I have also had in the past some success with high estrogen therapy via my own ovaries.
But now I'm freaked. Why would it start again? Is something failing? Is it my age? what up! Thank you so much. |
Joy,
I have no words of wisdom, but I am sure you'll get some from these wonderful gals who are so knowledgable. I just wanted to say, if you haven't checked in with your onc that might be good to do. Then take a deep breath and relax. Many of us find it hard not to worry when things come up. I am trying to be better about not jumping to bad conclusions and putting my faith into action. Keep us informed. Donna |
This might sound kooky, but are you sure it is a period and not bleeding from bladder or kidney infection? I know they are pretty different kinds of bleeding, but that happened to me a couple of years ago and for a split second we thought I was menstruating.

Joy--I had bleeding two months ago (freaked out as well). It was a bladder infection (but with much more bleeding than I had with past infections). Took Cipro and it resolved in a few days.
It might very well be the same with you. Check with your oncologist or gyn. |
