Off To First Radiation

We are off and both scared for today and what this horrible WBR treatment can do his brain. I know, I know......that is worrying about the 'What If's' and you all know I try not to do this and usually succeed. Girls gotta go cry quick, wipe my eyes, regroup and take my honey to his first WBR!!

BRING IT!!!

Just to let you know that I'm thinking about you. From what I've read WBR is a treatment that really works. You're in my thought and prayers.

Prayers and good vibes heading your way from the west coast!

I completed WBR yesterday

I am finished with WBR. The side effects weren't too bad. I'm exausted and bald. I will pray that your husband goes as well. Love and blessings, Lu Ann.

finding grace

Try and stay present. Look at the clock - see the moment in time - and take that moment to be connected to your husband. Time is all we have.

(I have finally stopped spinning and TODAY I will be doing the same thing.) The only way to survive anything tough is to stay very present. Meaning, LOOK at a clock and be in the current moment in time - focus, breathe, don't think ahead.

Moment by moment, we can survive anything. Little by little we exist with our fear, in our fear and we can still survive. The grace comes once we start to thrive - finding ways to be in only a moment at a time. Finding ways to sit with whatever exists around you, with strength and courage.

It's very hard work. But it's less energy than fighting the fear.

You both are in my thoughts and prayers today. Stay strong. Blessings.
Flori

You have already received some great words of wisdom from our gals, but I wanted to throw in a "HEAR! HEAR!"

Only great thoughts are coming at you two that this will be so much easier than our imaginations make it.

Flori has given you the best advice. Enjoy each day as it comes. While WBR is not fun to think about it has worked for many here. You both will be in my thoughts today.
Best wishes,
Barbara H.

We're backkkkkk!

Thanks again girls radiation went well yesterday. He will be getting 37.5 gray units for 15 days and that means 14 treatments left. So far a little nausea but I know it is too early to tell. He did not even have nausea during treatment. Again=14 days until his next chemo recipe.
