Herceptin side effects and supraclavical lymph nodes

Dear friends, I have two questions. I will try to make them short and want to thank you in advance for your knowledge and wisdom.

Could sinus problems be from Herceptin?

Where are the supraclavical lymph nodes located?

The supraclavicular nodes are right above the collarbone....I should know, thats where I have had a problem for 4 years! When the nodes enlarge, it can be easily felt...this seems like a common place for node problems.

Hope this helps.

Oh and sinus problems can be from Herceptin, the runny eyes, runny nose, cough etc.....are you having a problem?

Hi Sheila,
I don't know what is going on. I have had a "cold" for almost 9 days now. Family Dr. put me on an anticbiotic for 5 days no help. I have a very runny nose, throat is better and cough.

I also have found two lumps, one on each side, of the collar bone. Called the oncologist and Thursday will be a mega day at Rush. See her at 10, muga at 10:30, after results hopefully Herceptin.

When willl you be there? Lets try and see each other.

We are hoping to leave for our first Habitat build in almost 2 years in MN on Friday. We'll see

The lumps are probably inflamed lymph nodes from the cold/infection...especially since they are on both sides....swollen glands like in the neck from a cold/sore throat. I have to be there for counts Thursday at 7:30, with Taxol scheduled for about 8:30....they said it will take over an hour so I am hoping we can connect! Just don't laugh when I am whacked out from the IV Benedryl...it does a number on me! I will also be there in July...I checked and we are both there on the 19th I think it was....
See You THursday!

Oh I remember that. I hated that spacey, slow-motion feeling. I could barely talk. Try negotiation. After the first Taxol with no reaction, I haggled (harassed?) my chemo nurse down to 1/4 the benadryl dose (1/2 the second time, 1/4 after that). It helped a lot.

Hi Sheila,
I am feeling better that this may be from the cold. We will track you down in the treatment room. You will be finishing up as we come in. But we are always early and will be sure to be early that day to see you.

I am smiling about the Benedryl. Hope all goes smoothly for you.

See you Thursday!!!

Here's a link to a thread that was started sometime ago regarding Herceptin side effects. It's very lengthy but informative.
