Good News for a change.....

I just off the phone with my insurance company. I have United Healthcare, and the prescription coverage is administered by Medco.

They will cover the Tykerb/Lapitinib!!! And my co-pay is only $40 for a month's supply!

That is such good news, not only for me, but hopefully that means that other insurance companies will follow their lead and also cover the Tykerb for other metsters.

Yes, that is good news!

But of course, the news I'll be awaiting is how well it works for you!

Take care
Chris

Ester,

That is great news!

I have United too and am planning to start with Lapatinib in the next couple of weeks with Herceptin.

Here's hoping for excellent results.

Wow, that is good news. Some doctors are reluctant to use these two combos because of the heart. I think my doctor is one of those but I will find out tomorrow. I don't know if it would be an option for me because I stopped it two days ago because I was feeling so awful. I think my body was telling me it had had enough. I feel so much better since I stopped it. I noticed about two hours after taking it I would feel so sick but could not explain how I was feeling except I just wanted to roll in up and die. Boy, our bodies sure have a way of letting us know when it doesn't like something or it has had enough. hugs, Sandy

I'm happy for you!
I live in a little country, but sometimes I'm happy to be here: the cure is complety free.

Dear Esther,

Great news, now go fight hard -
Sending prayers your way that your new treatment kicks butt out of cancer.
