Hair loss with Tykerb & Xeloda
 

Hi, I have read several posts and threads about hair loss during this treatment. I completed my first dose of Xeloda on 3/20 and was wondering how long before I might see any signs of hair loss or if everyone is doomed for this. My Doctors told me that I do not need to worry about loosing my hair????

I dont think you will have much of a problem of hair loss with this combo.

I have been on it since last August and my hair is growing back from my previous chemo and I am on 2650 mg of the Xeloda (I started off taking 3000 mg)

hair loss is not usually associated with this combo - i had it for 15 months, and needed regular trims every 4-6 weeks..

I haven't had Tykerb, but have been on and off Xeloda for 1 year with no hair loss...I take 2500mg a day.
