neck thickening
Dear All
Hoping for some advice. I have a small neck node that is being treated with Xeloda/Tykerb. At first this chemo was amazing and heaps of skinn mets faded and the node shrunk ( my theory is the left over Herceptin mixing with it). Now things are stable but the side on which my neck node is is harder than the other. my onc can feel no tumour but is curious and I will have scans just before Easter. Any theories, experiences , advice? Thanks Linda |
Linda
My neck nodes seem to change in "feel" from hard like a little bean to squishy (oh so medical) at the present....I am back on the Xeloda with the Herceptin trying to beat them down again. The first time, I had complete response, the second time partial stable response...don't know if Xeloda will kick butt this timw or not! |
Hi Linda;
My left supraclavicular node(just above the collarbone) that was quite large and firm several years ago and "active" according to PET/CT, shrunk considerably and was no longer "active" on scans, but a hard mass was still palpable. Onc theorized it was probably scar tissue. Maybe that's what you feel? <3 Lolly |
