Happy St Patrick's Day Tricia Keegan & ALL
Tricia...and all the other Irish Folk who meet here!
Wanted to wish you a Happy St. Patricks Day...I am cooking Corned Beef and Cabbage...smells so good. May have a guiness or too with it. My Mother is a McCormick....so although I am part American Indian, I have enough Irish in me to enjoy the tradition...and a son named Patrick! Hope everyone who celebrates enjoys the day! |
Hey Sheila -
Top o' the mornin' to ya! Got my corned beast simmering as well. Hubby is French, but was manager of a swanky restaurant called The Dublin House in his early 20's. He developed a habit of the Irish Fare ever since! Been over to see the "Green River" running through Chi-town? We have a Green River here is well, but it is known for a killer, rather than a fun holiday! Time to get down to the hospital and see with sort of Irish goodies they put on Dad's diet today. They had a delicious Irish lamb stew yesterday! |
STOP you guys...
I HAVE my corned beef in my freezer (sniff sniff) and wanted it today:(, but being that we only have meat once a week and it was Tony's week to choose the meal, I get sloppy joes and tator tots (whoo, whoo), but NEXT weekend, got the corned beef and hope I can save enough of my cabbage (I am currently slicing it on my salad), but I can smell yours through the computer...other than lobster, corned beef and cabbage is my FAVORITE (have it for Christmas dinner since I am allergic to eat fowl). At LEAST have a slice for me.
Rhonda (I'M not Irish, but my half brother and sister in Chicago are on their mothers side ALL my neices and nephews...Colleen, Erin, Patrick, Thomas and Joe) and MANY of my cousins are as well...as Sheila knows well, Chicago is a VERY Irish city and many of my in law relatives came from there.) |
Thanks Sheila:)
..and a Happy St Paddys Day to everyone here!!
Sheila the corned beef sounds delicious and is making me hungry but it's almost midnight here now so I'll have to wait and make do with some toast lol!! Everyone in Dublin at the parade today was amazed at the lack of rain as it's usually pouring down on St Patricks day,a great day was had by all. Best part of course was the pub crawl afterwards Thanks again for your good wishes and I hope you enjoy that guiness!! (Or two:)) |
Sheila and all,
Hope you had a great St. Patrick's day. To me it's such a fun day celebrating the Irish and every one else ... I'm not a big fan of guiness but will celebrate with my cheap wine... Cheers and good health. Carol |
Anyone else???
Anyone else from ireland here??
I also post on the kome board and have yet to meet anyone from nearer to home than the States. Please get in touch if anyone reads this and lives in Ireland. Tricia |
