Lisinopril side effects?
I have been on 5mg and then 10mg of Lisinopril because of low MUGA scan results while on Herceptin. I have been SO tired ever since and at times my heart just seems to lose a beat and pump once hard to make up for the lost time. I have told my Onc over and over, and he keeps saying he doesn't hear anything and that neither drug is know to cause arithmia. Are any others going through something like this?

Dear Julie,
Hi! Just wanted you to know that I just had 1 month check up on Lisinopril. It doesnt work for me so I have been swiched to Micardis HCT. I hope it did work for you! There is a thread on the previous page re Herceptin and presurre issues, maybe you want to post and follow up there. Its good for Genentech to be able to "see" how many of us are having presurre issues. Mine was excellent before Chemos. Hugs,Marcia |
I had the same kind of thing going on for first time. My cardiologist then gave me some machine to wear for 24 hours to make sure if I was actially missing a beat. After that he told me it was nothing and was just me thinking too much abt the heart.

I started Lisinopril 3 weeks ago because my BP actually sent me into a panic attack because it was soooo high at one of my treatments-190/126!! I was extremely tired for the first week, and still am, but to a lesser degree. It relieved the pressure and tightness I was feeling in my chest, but I have developed a nagging, dry cough and do tend to "skip a beat" here and there, but I've done that since the beginning of AC. My shortness of breath is much better also. All in all, my BP is down and that's the most important thing to me right now.

Update...the Micardis has given me insomnia (havent had much sleep in three days) and I had a panic attack, too, last night.Soooo, back to the drawingboard as I am not to take THAT anymore! Horribly depressed as well, wish theyd warned me about these possible side effects! Argh!
