ki-67?

I searched my path report & can't find my ki-57 any where on it? I see so many mention it and its no where to be found on my report? Mine must be different then most for some reason? What else can I look for that might mean the same thing? I've looked it up on the search....read about it...but still can't find it.

Chelee,

On my path report it was listed as a prognostic factor, along with ER, PR and Her2.

Hopeful

Your lab may use mitotic index instead (as mine did). The scores there are 1 (slow), 2 (moderate) or 3 (fast) as in relation to cell division. This is used with nuclear and histologic scores to come up with the total Nottingham score.

Hope this helps.

Chelee - Mine was only listed on a report issued to my local Dr. and it was only on my 1rst path report following a sterotactic biopsy - not the following 2. I don't know why this was... I didn't get it till I requested all my paperwork from all my Dr.'s including my GP.

Mine was listed as Proliferation Marker (MIB1) Kriss

Mine was listed on my path report. It read Ki67--78% very unfavorable.

Becky, I do think I remember seeing something about the mitotic index. I need to dig that out..that must be it. You mentioned also the Nottingham score. I think that must be what they call the "Richardson scale" on mine. Mine was 9 of 9...the worse you can get. (Lucky me.)

Kimberly, I have alot of my medical files..but I still need all of them from my surgeons office and my primary. Maybe I will find more about it there like you did. Thanks for mentioning that.

Thank all of you that replied.
