Well, I was on Avastin about 1 year ago. I tolerated it very well. I took it with Herceptin. However, my Dr. stopped it because my lung mets grew slightly in size. When I start a new med, my onc. will give it between 8 - 12 weeks to do something before I have a CT scan done. She took me off of it and then started me on something else.

I just recently took Doxil w/herceptin and it was rough on me (the Doxil not the herceptin). I had to take alot of pre-meds in the IV before I got the Doxil. My onc. ended up stopping it because I got hand and foot really, really bad and horrible mouth sores (stomititis). The mouth sores were so bad that I didn't eat for a week and I lost 10 pds. My onc. had to give me a Rx for vicodin the pain was so bad.
