Her2Nu Testing
I have a question. Does anyone know what a LSAB Procedure is? I just received my reports from when I was tested for Her2 and it said 10% LSAB Procedure used. I couldn't find anything in the report for FISH or any other test. Any light you guys can shed on this situation would help. They used the same test for my ER+ and PR+.

Dawn,
The LSAB is just the actual kit that is used in the HER2 test. <FONT color=#000080>LSAB®, LSAB®2 and LSAB®+<SPAN lang=EN-GB style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt"> (labelled streptavidin-biotin) kits are visualization kits based on the sequential application of biotinylated link antibody and streptavidin labelled with alkaline phosphatase (AP) or peroxidase (HRP). The high sensitivity of this technique allows use of low concentrations of primary antibody. A wide range of carefully matched, prediluted primary antibodies and negative controls for use with the LSAB® and LSAB®2 kits (N-series antibodies) are available from DAKOCytomation . |
