Anyone on the EAP Lapatinib+Xeloda trial

Wondering if anyone's on this trial?
Just got my recent breast mri report...not good.
Following up today w/Bil mammos/US/biopsies & a repeat of full body PET - even though last one, just 10 weeks ago was clean.
In the meantime, I'm researching new treatments & this combo sounds like it has great potential.
Quite honestly, I'm hardly concerned about the threat in my breasts & the pending chemo & mastectomy...JUST DON'T TOUCH MY NEW LIVER!!!

I started on this trial through compassionate use in August of this year.
I just completed my fouth cycle of the Xeloda (the Tykerb being daily of course)

My first set of scans showed no new progression but the two tumors I have did not change in size. BUT my CEA dropped from 35 to 3.5 which is great. We did not expect too much to change with just one cycle.

I just had blood drawn last nite and on Monday am having my next set of scans.
I will let everyone know how everything is looking. Meantime, I am feeling pretty good so am hoping this is working or at the least keeping me stable.

I think its worth asking about it for you. If Herceptin has failed for you, this seems to be the way to go with the Tykerb.
