enlarged lymphnode

Hi Everybody, I had an ultrasound on my thyroid and an enlarged lymphnode showed up. I think the doctor said it was 18 millimeters. I just had a PET scan last week and it came out all clear. I was wondering how small of a spot can the PET scan find. Thanks for any input. Sally

I'm not sure how large a lymph node has to be before it shows up on a PET scan. I would definitely have it checked out further.

I thought that Pet can pick up a spot that is 4mm. Same with a CT scan.
