protein diet

I can't give you any details and I know you can't believe everything you read, but I found this interesting. I read in a magazine that doctors are doing a study on protien diets for cancer. Since cancer feeds on sugar and all carbs turn into sugar, they are doing a study the other way. I know I ask my Dr. if it was true that cancer feeds on sugar and he said yes BUT all carbs turn into sugar. I'm one of those who believe everything God made is beautiful as long as we don't abuse it. Patty H

Hi Patty,

About five years ago, pre bc diagnosis, I had a bout with chronic hives (five months to be exact). I had numerous blood tests, to test for a myriad of different diseases and ended up with a liver biopsy (liver was fine). And of course, I still had the hives.

Anyway, I started going to an acupuncturist who recommended I try a diet called, The Fat Flush Plan, which basically had me eating, protien and vegetables. After being on the diet for two weeks, my hives were gone and I haven't had a problem since.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that is appears that our bodies do, "run" better with protein and vegetables. I try to stick by this diet all the time, however... well I am only human.

If you have any questions, let me know. Here is the book info:
