3 Months Into Herceptin / Shortness Of Breath

I HAD MY HERCEPTIN TREATMENT THIS MORNING AND MY BLOOD WORK & BLOOD PRESSURE ARE GOOD. I FEEL OKAY BUT HAVE NOTICED SHORTNESS OF BREATH THIS AFTERNOON. IS THIS COMMON? I WONDER SHOULD I ASK THEM TO SLOW THE TREATMENT FROM 30 MIN. TO A LITTLE LONGER. ANY ADVICE WELCOMED.

I would call your onc. and let them know...I have never had this from Herceptin...do you get any premeds that could cause this?

Hi,

I agree with Sheila. It never happened to me either. I would call your doctor.
My doctor prefers the 90 minute infusion so that's what we did.

I never have had shortness of breath either...I get the 90 min. infusion

I get the 30 minute infusion and have not had any shortness of breath. If I were you I'd want to speak to my oncologist about it, especially if it is continuing.
