The HER2 Support Group has received a grant of 5 complementary registrations to the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium - December 14 thru 17th.

Unfortunately, you must pay for your own transportation and housing.

Komen travel grants

Thought I should mention here that Sandy and I had travel grants from the Komen Foundation last year for $1,000 each.

This should still be workable for anyone wishing to attend the symposium. I got mine from my local Komen chapter and I believe Sandy got hers from the national office in Dallas.

Also, that meals are basically taken care of as well since the evening sessions hosted by the drug companies include more than adequate food. And there is breakfast buffet included with the room price.

StephN. is correct in saying I did get my grant from the National office in Dallas. It went quite smooth with no problems. I did try with my local office but it took several weeks to hear from them and they were in the process of moving so I went directly to Dallas and it went fine. Sandy
