Chemo leave you eyebrowless??

Hi;

This is NOT an ad.....just a product that I think if of interest to many of us. I recently saw a biography on a lady name Anastasia. Her story is interesting in itself but what she does caused me to remember my Taxol experience so I wrote to her. This is my email and the response from her site. I know that this product would have been useful for me and just wanted to put it on the site for those of you who also are eyebrowless.....

Anastasia;

I am a breast cancer patient. Recently I watched a biography of you on television and I was fasinated. Not only with what you have achieved but the importance of eyebrows......something I was not aware of until this past year. My first chemo sessions took the hair from my head and body but it was my treatment with Taxol that took my eyebrows and eyelashes. Somehow losing the hair on your head is not so difficult but losing your eyebrows and eyelashes changes your face so totally that you truly feel like a cancer patient and know that whereever you go others will also know. During this time I attended a "Look Good....Feel Good" session which is supported by cosmetic companies who donate various products and volunteers who offer ideas of how to deal with makeup and hair during chemotheraphy. The session was fun and at one point we were instructed in how to make eyebrows with pencils. I thought I had done pretty well looking into the hand mirror we used and went home feeling much better....until I got home and looked into the bathroom mirror.....my eyebrows were all over the place and looked awful. When I saw your show I couldn't help but think of this experience. I saw at the end of your show that you contribute to charity and perhaps this need is one that you could keep in mind for the future. All the very best to you and your family.

Best regards,

Cathy

Cathy,
Our company has dealt with many cancer patients across the world, and has helped them during this time of hair loss to be able to have a normal shaped eyebrow. I suggest you look into our kits that come with stencils that allow you to pencil in the eyebrow shape. Our products when used correctly look almost identical to natural hair.

I am also happy to announce that in January, we will be launching a product called Nu Brow. It is a hair regrowth formula designed specifically to grow eye brow hair due to over tweezing or chemotherapy. It will initially be available on our website and in Sephora across the country.

Best of luck in your recovery.

Warm regards,

Brady Heyborne

Also, I thought you would like to know that we sell on our site Women’s Cancer Research Tweezers:

All of the proceeds go to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. Having lost my own mother to cancer, working for a company that is fighting to find a cure makes me proud.

Keep well and happy,
