Prayers for mom

Hi all, My mom has to go get a Muga scan on Monday the 7th, she is on herceptin. She is really scared that her numbers will be too low to continue on the Herceptin. If you could remember her in your prayers, we would really appreciate it. Thank you and God Bless !

With Love Donna

Hi Donna, I will certainly add your mom to my prayers. I have my ECHO coming up also to see if I can continue on herceptin. So I know how you and your mom feel. Tell your Mom to hang in there.

You & your Mom will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna
Praying that your Mom will get good results...but remember, if she would have to go off for a short period of time, Herceptin stays in the system for a period of time after the last treatment so she is still getting it in a sense....most people who need a Herceptin Holiday do go back on it within a few months....if the results look low she can also get an echo for comparison....just a thought, sometimes the Mugas are off.
Love to your Mom and Lots of Prayers

I'll keep your mom in my prayers that her #s are just perfect for continuing!

Donna, I hope your mom's MUGA score is acceptable, but as Sheila says, follow up with an Echocardiogram if necessary for comparasion. Also, something I've observed during my years on Herceptin, if I have my MUGA or Echo within a week after my Herceptin, the numbers are lower than if I wait until just BEFORE my next scheduled Herceptin. Don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I try to have my test as far out from the last Herceptin as possible :)

Prayers for mom

Donna,

I will be saying lots of prayers for your Mom. Try not to worry too much and remember like others have posted already that your Mom can request an echocardiogram which may give an overall better picture of what is truly going on and that even if she does have to take a break from the Herceptin that it stays in the system for quite a long time and that she should be able to go back on it after a short break. I had a friend from the VA Cancer institute who had to take a short break from the Herceptin and she is now back on it and doing wonderfully, she is now NED.

Take care Hon and stay strong, be sure to let us know how your Mom is doing.

Lots of Hugs, love & prayers,
Nicola

Dear Donna and Chelee,
Hope Donna's mother's and Chelee's tests are good and she/you can continue with Herceptin but others have given you helpful advice. Also I find the echocardigram much less "invasive" than the Muga.
Good luck to both of you and to anyone else facing these worrisome tests.

Hi , MY moms muga was normal so she can continue on the herceptin :) Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. Chelee, you are in my prayers, hope you get the same result. God Bless !

Donna, I am so happy to hear all went well and your Mom CAN continue on herceptin. I am sure you both feel better now that you have the results. Its always a relief. I can't wait to get my ECHO out of the way which is soon.
Thanks for the prayers for me too Donna.

Now your Mom is set for at least another three months before they do another ECHO...at least that is usually the time frame. So you guys can relax for now. Your mom has to feel better now that she has that out of the way...one less thing to worry about. YEAH.

You and your Mom take care.

Sending you both warm healing thoughts and prayers.

Chelee
