can FISH test CSF?
 

Can the her2 status tests be done on spinal fluid? What about Er/Pr receptor status?
My Maryann's primary site pathology was ER/PR negative and her2neu positive (2+). When she found a node in her neck I pushed onc to order pathology testing again. New receptor status was ER +/PR weakly + and her2neu 3+. Now she has brain mets and cancer present in spinal fluid. Brain mets were treated with WBR and Cyberknife so no pathology possible there but can ER/PR and her2 neu status be tested on spinal fluid? Should I push for this testing or just assume the pathology is unchanged?
