For Tom: Herceptin After Disease Progression

Tom, this article from BreastCancer.org is several years old, but this is maybe more ammunition to get the docs to agree to restart Herceptin.

Thank you Lolly

Thank you Lolly. I will print the article and carry it with me to the onc tomorrow. I suspect the onc may be receptive to my wishes, as he practices at the same hospital as the surgeon that got Mom into this precarious situation in the first place by failing to properly her cancer. He was not too pleased to relize that he had a patient handed to him with incorrect referral information. Mom was referred to him as having had "an excisional biopsy, and NEGATIVE NODES". I remember his comment on our first visit, that Mom "just got lucky" by having no disease in her nodes. He AND I were handed a ticking bomb, and have had to deal with the consequences ever since. Thanks again for your help. Everyone has been so kind to us.
Sincerely,
Tom
