Happy Birthday, Cathya

Cathy,

Happy birthday. Enjoy your day!

Have you had your brain MRI? Mine was done last week and the results were normal. After the exam, I felt like I had operated a jack hammer because it was so loud! (If you haven't had it, it really wasn't that bad.)

Ann;

I am so happy it all came out clean and now no worries!! I am scheduled for a CT scan on May 2nd. I am thinking that he just wants to check things out in the most cost effective, quick way possible.....so I take this as a good thing? I understand, however, that only something larger than .3 mm would be seen? So.....this could still be a bit worrisome but I guess he'll get them done regularly.

Happy Birthday...Get the MRI if you have a choice...you need a baseline anyway...fake a headache...hey we're women, we are good at faking headaches!!!!
Have a very special birthday!

Hi Cathy,

Sheila is right about getting the MRI if you can. I don't know anything about Canada's health care system but can you print the thread regarding the need for brain MRIs and show it to your doctor? ( I didn't search for it but it went into detail about catching brain lesions early.) I printed it and was prepared to state my reasons for wanting a MRI to my oncologist but as soon as I mentioned it he thought it was a good idea.
